Norman Rales Jewish Family Services Partners with
the Adolph
& Rose Levis Jewish Community Center
to feed
nearly 700 guests at Thanksgiving Banquet
|

Boca Raton, FL…November 27, 2014 – The Ruth &
Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) in
partnership with Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center
(Levis JCC) warmly welcomed nearly 700 local residents, who
would have otherwise been alone, to enjoy a festive
Thanksgiving meal. The annual banquet, generously sponsored
by Edith and Martin Stein and Etta and Raymond Zimmerman,
included a traditional Thanksgiving meal served by nearly
300 volunteers and goody bags were provided to each guest as
they left. |

The guests, who mostly arrived on busses
arranged by JFS, began arriving around 11:30. The doors at
Phillips Gymnasium on the Levis JCC campus opened at Noon.
The vast space was taken up by nearly 70 tables surrounded
by serving tables, which lined the perimeter of the
building.

Ruth &
Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS)
provides help, hope and humanity through a comprehensive
range of programs and services which support people of all
ages and beliefs. With locations in Boca Raton and Delray
Beach, JFS programs and services include food and financial
assistance, senior services, counseling and mental health,
career and employment services and many volunteer
opportunities. Funding is provided by private and corporate
support, grants, special events and individuals who reach
thousands in need each year. |
