journalist
and
music
critic Sharon
McDaniel has
been
named
Regional
Arts
Concert
Series
Programming
Associate.
In her
new
position,
Ms.
McDaniel, the
Classical
Music
and
Dance
Critic
of The
Palm
Beach
Post from
2000
through
2008,
will
continue
to host
free
pre-concert
lectures
during
theLeonard
& Sophie
Davis Regional
Arts
Concert
Series,
also
known
as MUSIC
“At
Eight”
and
MUSIC
“At
Two”.
She will
also
provide
administrative
duties
for all
classical
music
presentations
at the
Kravis
Center,
including
the
Regional
Arts
Concert
Series
and
Young
Artists
Series.
“At
these
fascinating
and
informative
‘Beyond
the
Stage’
lectures,
Sharon
McDaniel
will
share
her
in-depth
knowledge
and
critical
insights
about
the
composers
and
compositions
about to
be
performed. This
is
another
way that
the
Kravis
Center
continues
to
enhance
the
overall
concert
experience
for our
growing
audience
of
classical
music
fans,”
said
Mitchell.

Sharon
McDaniel
is a
widely
respected
expert
in
classical
music,
ballet
and
modern
dance.
Praised

McDaniel
has been
a Fellow
at both
the
National
Arts
Journalism
Program
at
Northwestern
University
and the
Knight
Center
for
Specialized
Journalism. She
is also
the
recipient
of the
prestigious

Writing
Award
from the
Associated
Press
Managing
Editors
Association
and a
Newsroom
Award/Features
Category
from the
Gannett
Rochester
Newspapers. McDaniel
earned a
Bachelors
Degree
in Music
from the
College-Conservatory
