The caring, generous
women at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach
County’s Women’s Philanthropy Board Installation
Celebration on
April 1, 2011 were clearly
united and moved as they celebrated their shared values,
history and committed collaborative efforts. The success
and rededication of their sisterhood suffused Zinman
Hall on the Federation campus as they welcomed their
incoming officers and wished a sincere farewell to those
outgoing.
“Representing more than
half the dollars raised by our Federation’s Annual
Campaign, Women’s Philanthropy makes our Jewish
community stronger and more vibrant,” said Meryl
Gallatin, who is beginning her second year as Women’s
Philanthropy Chair. “With promise, passion and purpose,
we are addressing the myriad of needs of youngest to
oldest, among local residents and our wider family in
Israel and overseas.”
April Leavy received the
Dorothy Seaman Leadership Award, presented by new
Federation Chair, Ellen R. Sarnoff.
The brunch, chaired
by Doris Beck, brought spring indoors and into the
hearts of these generous women who care so deeply.
