WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.
(April 13, 2011) — More than
80 members and guests of the
Young Friends of the Norton
attended an “Alphabet Art” cocktail reception at
the Norton Museum of Art on April 7. Themed around the
new exhibition From A to Z:
26 Great Photographs from the Norton Collection, the
evening’s events included a guided tour led by Charlie
Stainback, William and Sarah Ross Soter Curator of
Photography,
and Mexican,
mezza-style hors d’oeuvres
inspired by one of the exhibition photos,
Nuestra Señora de las Iguanas, by Graciela Iturbide,
1942.

Featuring a selection
of 26 striking photographs, From A to Z: 26 Great
Photographs from the Norton Collection is uniquely
arranged in alphabetical order based on the first letter
of the photographer’s last name. The exhibition, on
display through June 19, includes photos by such seminal
figures as Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Arthur
Rothstein.
