“At the Toy Industry
Foundation, we think every child deserves joy through play,”
said Jean Butler, Executive Director Toy Industry
Foundation. “The children served by Horton’s are no
different. We are thrilled to be able to give them new toys
and games – and to show them that we really care.”
“It’s such a pleasure to be
here in
Washington, D.C., to offer these children new belongings,”
added Janeen Holmes, President/CEO of the My Stuff Bags
Foundation. “Each individual My Stuff Bag contains not only
things these kids need, things to do and things to hold
onto, but the message that lots of people want them to be
happy! Our foundation is grateful to have the generous
support of the Toy Industry Foundation and of so many
individuals across the country who donate new ‘stuff’ for
the bags and the labor to help fill them.”
The Toy Industry Foundation
has provided grant funding of $525,000 and more than 150,000
new toys over three years to My Stuff Bags Foundation.

About the Toy Industry Foundation (www.toyindustryfoundation.org)
The Toy Industry Foundation is a nonprofit
organization whose mission is to bring joy, comfort, and
learning to children in need through toys and play. While
other organizations provide food, shelter and support
services to children and their families, TIF sees to it that
these children have toys and opportunities to play in an
attempt to restore both fun and a sense of normalcy to their
lives. The Foundation currently fulfills its mission
through core programs including The Toy Bank™, public
education initiatives, and grants to organizations whose
missions are in line with that of the Toy Industry
Foundation.
About My Stuff Bags Foundation (www.mystuffbags.org)
My Stuff
Bags Foundation was launched in 1998 to address some of the
immediate physical and emotional needs of children who must
be rescued from abuse, neglect, and abandonment or who are
economically disadvantaged. In some cases the foundation
also serves children who have been displaced due to natural
disasters. Traumatized by the events leading to their
rescue, these children often enter crisis shelters, domestic
violence centers or foster care with no belongings. Each
individual My Stuff Bag is filled by volunteers with new,
donated items including toys, books, a stuffed animal,
personal toiletries, a warm blanket, and other basic
childhood necessities. The items in a My Stuff Bag provide
comfort and hope to rescued children, and send the message
that lots of people do care about them.
