THE NEW
YORK WOMEN’S FOUNDATION 2017 FALL GALA
WHAT: Over
300 attendees will gather on Monday, October 2, 2017
for The
New York Women’s Foundation Fall Gala at The
Plaza to celebrate four distinguished individuals
who have made their mark as leaders and
agents-of-change in the fields of philanthropy,
health and criminal justice.
Emmett
D. Carson, Ph.D., CEO of Silicon Valley
Community Foundation; Dr.
Angela Diaz, Professor and Director of the Mount
Sinai Adolescent Health Center; Verna
Eggleston, head of the Women’s Economic
Development initiatives at Bloomberg Philanthropies;
and Hon.
Jonathan Lippman, Chairman, Independent
Commission on The NYC Criminal Justice and
Incarceration Reform, Former Chief Judge of New York
State and the NY Court of Appeals, will be honored.
The annual event raises
funds for The Foundation, a cross-cultural alliance
that ignites action and invests in bold,
community-led solutions across the city to create an
equitable and just future for women and families.
The
cocktail reception begins at 6:30 PM. The dinner and
program will begin promptly at 7:30 PM.
