Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation
Presents $1.5 Million in Donations
to Eight Local Charities at
Galaxy of Giving Celebration |
|
The
stars aligned at DISCOVERY Children’s
Museum as the Olympia Companies
Charitable Foundation (OCCF) hosted a
Galaxy of Giving celebration,
distributing a constellation of
donations totaling $1.5 million to eight
Southern Nevada charities.
The cosmic-themed event marked a
milestone moment
—25 years and $30 million in lifetime
giving—from the OCCF.
During the event, OCCF Co-founder Garry
Goett and Executive Director Angela Rock
presented checks ranging from $100,000 -
$300,000 to representatives from eight
benefiting charities.
These donations are a portion of the
$1.5 million raised during the recent
25th anniversary Governor’s Black-Tie
event. |
Representatives from the local charities
including;
Assistance League of Nevada, Boys and
Girls Club of Southern Nevada,
Candlelighters, Children’s Heart
Foundation, DISCOVERY Children’s Museum,
Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation,
Andson, and Opportunity Village were
invited to bring a delegation of kids
and families from their respective
organizations for a fun-filled afternoon
at the museum featuring a boxed lunch,
celestial-themed décor, games, face
painting,
photo opps and an impressive array of
cosmic desserts. |
