Love and
gratitude were
in the
air when
Dallas
area
residents
enjoyed
conversation
and
laughter over
a delicious
dinner
to
support
the
nonprofit
Caron
Texas.
Guests
were
treated
to an
introduction
to
Dallas’
new
substance
abuse
treatment
facility
when
they
celebrated
Valentine’s
Day at
Javier’s
Gourmet
Mexicano
in
Highland
Park.
The
first of
many
fundraisers
for the
nonprofit,
Caron
Texas
hosted
the
event
for
residents
and
supporters
to
network
and
learn
about
the
28,000-square-foot
facility
open to
adults
in Texas
and the
southwest.
The
evening
began
with
passed
hors
d’oeuvres
and
continued
with
dinner
in the
private
room at
Javier’s.
Kasandra
Vitacca
and Dave
Peters
hosted
the
event
while
Javier’s
Gourmet
Mexicano
helped
to
underwrite
the cost
of the
food.

alcohol
and
drugs.

and
community

Caron
Texas,
began.

addiction

grateful

Dallas
and our
surrounding
communities
for
their
generous

We are

those
struggling
with the
disease
of
addiction
and
their
families
to
achieve
recovery
for
life.”
Consistent
with
Caron's
charitable
mission,
Caron
Texas
will
donate
proceeds
to a
significant
scholarship
fund for
Dallas-area
residents.
The
funds
will
provide
assistance
with the
costs
associated
with
treatment
to those
who
otherwise
would
not be
able to
afford
treatment
for
themselves
or a
loved
one.
Similar
to its
Pennsylvania
and
Florida
facilities,
Caron
Texas
will put
a major
emphasis
on
treating
the
family
as part
of the
treatment
and
recovery
process.

Dana and
John
Talmadge,
Garrett
Smith
and
Faith
Spitz.
Caron
Texas, a
not-for-profit
organization,
opened
its
doors in
July
2010 and
is now
providing
comprehensive,
high-quality,
gender-specific
addiction
treatment
to
adults
in Texas
and the
Southwest.
Part of
the
Caron
Treatment
Centers
network,
the
facility
is set
on 40
acres
and
offers
many
amenities
for
patients
and
their
families
in a
serene
and
secluded
setting
40 miles
north of
Dallas.
A new
14,000-square-foot
fitness
center
and
swimming
pool
were
recently
completed.
With
more
than 50
years in
the
field,
Caron is
one of
the
oldest
and
largest
treatment
facilities
for
families
suffering
from the
disease
of
addiction.
In the
Dallas
area,
the
12-Step
based,
non-profit
Caron
Texas
provides
primary
addiction
treatment
at their
40 bed
facility
to
adults
who may
also
suffer
from a
co-occurring
disorder.
