Houstonians
packed The
Junior
League of
Houston for
the 2011 “Community
Immunity
Spring
Luncheon”
and awards
ceremony, on
April 21.
Jim and
Shirley
Dannenbaum,
honorary
chairpersons,
with
Jacquelyn
Cox and Dr.
Jennifer
Litton
serving as
co-chairs,
raised a
record-breaking
$137,000.
Dr. Ari
Brown,
practicing
pediatrician
and author
of the
Baby 411
series (www.expecting411.com),
was the
keynote
speaker. She
discussed
vaccine
concerns of
new parents.
Dr. Brown is
also the
official
spokesperson
for the
American
Academy of
Pediatrics,
as well as
the
children's
health
expert for
WebMD, a
medical
advisor for
Parents
Magazine
and ABC
News. She
has appeared
as an expert
on The
Today
Show, The
Dr. Oz Show,
CNN, as well
as in the
Wall Street
Journal
and New
York Times.
