Health
Services
celebrated
its 10th
annual
luncheon
with a
sellout
crowd of
500 and
raised
over
$300,000!
Guests
gathered
at
Houston’s
Wortham
Center
for the
Champagne
luncheon
chaired
by
Ginni
Mithoff,
Rosemarie
Johnson,
and
Monsour
Taghdisi.
This
year’s
Living
Legacy
Award
recipients
were
Melanie
Gray
and
Mark
Wawro
and
Melissa
and
Michael
Mithoff
for
their
exceptional
support
of
Legacy
Community
Health
Services
over the
years.
A
heartfelt
video
tribute
was
viewed
by the
crowd
which
featured
patients
and the
honorees,
who
spoke of
Legacy’s
impact
to the
community.
“Who
would
have
expected
that the
Southwest
Clinic
would
deliver
2,400
babies
last
year,”
said
CEO Katy
Caldwell.
“We
haven’t
forgotten
where we
came
from.
Everyone
should
feel
‘the big
hug’
when
they
walk in
our
doors,”
Caldwell
added.
She also
mentioned
a new
mobile
dental
clinic
and
expansion
of
services
to the
Baytown
and
Beaumont
areas.
The
celebratory
crowd

from the
luncheon
benefit
Legacy’s
highly
regarded
healthcare
programs
– from
their
maternity
and
pediatric
services
to their
social
and
medical
services
for
people
living
with
HIV/AIDS.
Legacy
provides
a
comprehensive
set of
health
and
wellness
programs
at
four
different
clinics
in some
of
Houston’s
most
low-income
neighborhoods.
Legacy
Community
Health
Services
is a 501
(c) (3)
nonprofit
organization
and the
largest
Federally
Qualified
Health
Center
in
Houston.
Each
year
they
provide
low-cost
or
no-cost
healthcare
services
to over
45,000
Houston
area
men,
women
and
children.
