On Saturday May 12, 2012 at
8:30 pm, at Merkin Concert Hall Artist World Concert
Promotion presents internationally diverse virtuoso chamber
orchestra Ensemble du Monde in CLASSICAL TITANS. The concert
will be conducted by music director and founder Marlon
Daniel and feature Beethoven’s heroic Symphony No. 7,
Afro-French composer Joseph Bologne’s (Le Chevalier de
Saint-Georges) Symphony in G Major op. 11, No. 2 and Haydn’s
Sinfonia Concertante with virtuoso soloist from the
ensemble.
Music Director Marlon Daniel is the Principal Conductor of
the New Horizons Orchestra of the Festival of African and
African American Music and Artistic Director and Conductor
of the Festival International Saint-Georges in Guadeloupe.
He is one of the foremost interrupters on music written by
Black composers in the world. This a great occasion to
experience this outstanding conductor in repertoire of which
he and Ensemble du Monde have made famous as well as
standard works of the classical music repertoire.
