Joanna was an
innovative restaurant in the 1980s that ushered in the trend
of restaurants as entertainment, places to see and be seen.
Andy Warhol’s Factory was around the corner. Elizabeth
Taylor celebrated her birthday here. Baryshnikov, Ryan
O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren
were all regulars.
Joanna was featured in People, Vanity Fair, and Town &
Country and was written about in the columns of Liz Smith
and Earl Wilson.
