Shakespeare meets the Wild West in a raucously funny and
heart-warming off-Broadway musical “Desperate Measures,”
that opened last night to cheering audiences. The Drama
Desk winner that got rave reviews, including by the New York
Times, plays at the New World Stages. Alluding to the
Bard’s “Measure for Measure,” a hot-blooded cowboy is set to
hang but his soon-to-be-a-nun sister tries to get him out of
jail. Audiences delight: “The best night of non-stop
laughter” ”So clever” “Can’t get the songs out of my head”
“You must see this play for the most fun and joyous time.” |
