New York, NY - The Metropolitan Club glittered with
excitement last night as guests gathered for The
Diller-Quaile School of Music's Spring Gala. The highly
anticipated event, held on May 9th, 2024, was a resounding
success, raising crucial funds for the school's need-based
Scholarship Fund and tuition-free community music programs
while celebrating the institution's commitment to excellence
in music education.
Hosted by the esteemed journalist and anchor Kate Bolduan,
the Gala commenced with a cocktail reception and silent
auction, where guests mingled amidst the splendor of the
venue while bidding on an array of exclusive items and
experiences. As the evening unfolded, attendees were treated
to a sumptuous seated dinner, accompanied by captivating
performances from
Diller-Quaile's talented faculty and students.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the
prestigious Artistry Award to GRAMMY-nominated performer and
composer Nathalie Joachim, in recognition of her outstanding
contributions to the world of music. Joachim's heartfelt
acceptance speech resonated with the audience, emphasizing
the transformative power of music in shaping lives and
communities.
The gala also served as a poignant farewell to Kirsten
Morgan, who concluded her remarkable 26-year tenure as
Executive Director of The Diller-Quaile School of Music.
Morgan's dedication and leadership were celebrated with
heartfelt tributes and expressions of gratitude from
colleagues and supporters.
The event would not have been possible without the generous
