Socialite Susan
Gutfreund who possesses a massive couture collection is
joined by TV personality Katlean de Monchy at the Bilboquet
Birthday Luncheon.

Harvard lawyer and photojournalist, Lieba Nesis, held dual
birthday celebrations beginning on the night of her
birthday, Saturday February 22, 2020, with more than one
hundred friends gathering for cocktails and food at her
building on the Upper West Side at
8:30 PM.
Guests headed to the fourth floor where they were met by the
legendary Ray Kelly, former NYC Police Commissioner, his
wife Veronica, and their newscaster son Greg. Famed flower
designer, Preston Bailey, also joined the excited crowd
wearing a colorful burgundy sweater with sequin designs on
the shoulder. Moreover, a significant contingent of art
patrons including Sana Sabbagh, Gerald Appelstein and Joanna
Fisher participated in the festivities as they excitedly
listened to a live rendition of “Summertime” by Metropolitan
Opera star Angel Blue who serenaded the birthday girl.
When the excitement finally subsided at
midnight, the birthday girl discovered a white feather
coat in a bag which was gifted to her by furrier and jeweler
to the stars-Helen Yarmak. Yarmak dresses luminaries such
as Jennifer
Lopez, Rihanna and Beyonce and
her largesse duly impressed the stunned crowd.

After celebrating with Lieba over the weekend,
philanthropists Ken and Maria Fishel hosted a luncheon
for her birthday on Monday Feb 24th at Bilboquet.
The Fishels are real estate moguls who own more than one
million square feet of commercial space throughout New
York and South Florida. Their homes in Miami, Bridgehampton and
Park Avenue are frequently the site of fundraisers for
cancer research. They continue to take the New York
social scene by storm along with their gorgeous son,
Bradley, who helps run the company and will soon be
attending business school. Some other participants at
the luncheon included Jean Shafiroff, Lucia Hwong
Gordon, Katlean de Monchy, Ruth Miller, Nicole Salmasi,
Norah Lawlor, Susan Gutfreund and Jane Scher. Lawlor is
one of the top publicists in New York and was holding
numerous conference calls during the luncheon. Maria
and friends made beautiful toasts to the birthday girl
with Gutfreund regaling the crowd with talks of her
extravagant couture collection-which is comprised of
over 800 masterpieces. Gutfreund and Chanel's Karl
Lagerfeld were good friends and she was still mourning
his untimely death. Towards the conclusion of the
lunch, Ken Fishel made a surprise appearance with guests
excitedly running over to give one of the kindest, and
most generous men around an embrace. After four hours
of fraternizing, the crowd headed home to tend to some
serious business and hopefully engage in some future
fun.
