Serene Refuge, a solo exhibition of new work by award-winning artist Suzanne LaFleur opened to great reception at Lawrence Fine Art in East Hampton. The opening marked the public debut of LaFleur’s monumental painting series inspired by the natural splendor and power of The Hamptons landscape.

Enthusiastic guests filled the gallery to see the artist’s latest creations. The evening’s crowd reflected the dynamic energy of The Hamptons’ social scene during summer. LaFleur, a Southampton native, wore an elegant scarlet dress that bore a striking similarity to the red pulsating throughout many of her canvases.  Pernod Ricard USA generously sponsored the event, serving seasonal drinks mixed to complement the theme
‘Serene Refuge.’

A closing reception will be held Saturday August 16, 2014. The artist will be in attendance along with refreshments and live music. Serene Refuge will remain on view August 17 and 18. A selection of works by Suzanne LaFleur can be seen at Lawrence Fine Art through Labor Day.
