Houston, TX — The Blue Bird Circle is
excited to announce its upcoming 102nd Annual Luncheon,
scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Houston Country
Club. Leading the helm of this event are Maggie Austin and
Ellen Stough, both of whom have been dedicated supporters of
The Blue Bird Circle's mission of “providing hope, love, and
healing for children with neurological disorders.”
Founded by fifteen visionary women led by their faith, The
Blue Bird Circle has spent over a century creating a legacy
of compassion and innovation in Houston, with impacts felt
around the globe. This year’s luncheon will celebrate the
remarkable achievements of The Blue Bird Circle and raise
funds to continue its support of vital medical programs,
including:

Neurology at Texas Children’s Hospital

The Blue Bird Circle Clinical Research Center
at Texas Children’s Hospital

The Blue Bird Circle Developmental
Neurogenetics Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine

The Blue Bird Circle Rett Center at Baylor
College of Medicine

The Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Advancing
Treatments Fund at the Duncan Neurological Research
Institute.
These organizations remain at the forefront of pediatric
neurological care, providing life-changing treatment and
research for children with serious disorders.
Special Guest Speaker:
The luncheon will feature acclaimed Broadway actor Miguel
Cervantes, who recently starred as Alexander Hamilton in
the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton. Cervantes
has graced both Broadway and television, appearing in
productions such as If/Then, American Idiot,
The Blacklist, Person of Interest, and
Madam Secretary. Outside of his acting career, Cervantes
and his wife, Kelly, are passionate advocates for epilepsy
research through their partnership with CURE Epilepsy,
an organization that seeks to find a cure for the disease.
Special Remarks: Dr. Debra F. Sukin
The luncheon will also include special remarks from Dr.
Debra F. Sukin, President of Texas Children’s
Hospital, one of the nation's largest pediatric and
women’s health care organizations. Dr. Sukin’s decades of
leadership in advancing health care and research align with
The Blue Bird Circle’s mission, and her commitment to
life-changing treatments for children and women in need will
be a highlight of the event.
