5th Avenue Snowflake, shining at the intersection of
5th Avenue and 57th Street in New York City, brings
warmth and joy to the holiday season as we celebrate
the 200th anniversary of Fifth Avenue.
At the
heart of this wonder are the inspiring
George and Christine Stonbely.
Together with Quinn Lemley, they share their vision
of humanitarian with the Snowflake Ball at the
Pierre Hotel, honoring Chef Daniel Boulud for his
incredible work with City Meals on Wheels on

The Fifth Avenue Snowflake for Humanity
The lighting of the Fifth Avenue Snowflake has long been the
symbol of the beginning of the holiday season in NYC. Since
1984, the Snowflake has been synonymous with generosity and
giving to humanitarian causes.
Daniel Boulud: 2024 FASH Ball Honoree
Originally from Lyon, Chef Daniel Boulud is widely
celebrated as one of America's leading culinary authorities.
As Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citymeals On
Wheels, Daniel has been part of the leadership team of the
organization that has served homebound elderly New Yorkers
since 1981, providing a lifeline of nourishment throughout
all five boroughs of NYC. Since the non-profit's inception,
Citymeals has delivered more than 70 million meals.
Benefitting Citymeals on Wheels
Citymeals on Wheels provides a lifeline of nourishing meals
and connection to nearly 22,000 homebound older New Yorkers.
Since 1981, they have delivered over 70 million meals.
Citymeals is working to end elder hunger in New York City by
2040.
200TH Anniversary of the Fifth Avenue
The Fifth Avenue Snowflake Ball will celebrate the Fifth
Avenue Association and its board on their successful mission
to maintain Fifth Avenue as the most iconic luxury retail
boulevard in the world. Within the zone of the Fifth Avenue
Association are the world's most storied luxury retail
brands. Included on the four corners of 57th Street and
Fifth Avenue are LVMH, Tiffany & Co., Bergdorf Goodman,
Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
