What: The Holdsworth Center Champions of Hope gala is an
event celebrating the legacy of Dr. Ruth J. Simmons and
shining a spotlight on education leaders who have dedicated
their lives to creating positive change in Texas public
schools.
All proceeds benefit The Holdsworth Center, a nonprofit that
builds stronger leaders for Texas public schools through its
world-class leadership development programs and services.
When H-E-B Chairman Charles Butt founded Holdsworth in 2017,
he asked Dr. Ruth J. Simmons to chair the board.
After six years, Holdsworth is honoring Dr. Simmons for her
service and legacy of support for public education.
Community leaders are invited to celebrate Dr. Simmons and
learn more about Holdsworth while raising funds to create
stronger leaders for Texas’ 5.4 million public school
students.

great leadership, Holdsworth provides world-class leadership
development programs and services within districts and at
its Campus on Lake Austin, a one-of-a-kind place dedicated
to the idea that public education holds worth.
Since its founding in 2017, Holdsworth has served 1,600
educators across 75 public school districts in Texas.
