The 13th Annual A
Hamptons Happening benefiting
the Samuel
Waxman Cancer
Research Foundation
(SWCRF) on Saturday,
August 5, 2017 will
treat guests to an
intimate performance
by Grammy-nominated
singer-songwriter Rufus
Wainwright.
This special night
of music will
include a
performance by
recording artist
Sophie
Beem,
a protégé of Beyoncé.
Mr. Wainwright’s
performance will
celebrate the
introduction of a
sarcoma research
grant established
jointly by the SWCRF and
the Kate
McGarrigle
Foundation (KMF), a
nonprofit
organization he and
his family founded
to support sarcoma
research after his
mother passed away
from the disease.
Taking place on the
estate of Maria and Kenneth
Fishel, A
Hamptons Happening is
one of the Hamptons’
most anticipated
summer benefits and
will once again
feature tastings
from some of the top
chefs and
restaurants in New
York City and the
Hamptons.
The event will be
hosted by CBS 2 News
anchor Chris
Wragge and
will honor Glenn
Myles,
Chairman and CEO of
First Wall Street
Capital; Bobbie
Lloyd,
Chief Baking Officer

collaborating to
fund science’s quest
for a cure for
cancer.
