Prepare for a memorable evening with our hosts, Kenan
Thompson,
Luis Guzman, and Darlene Rodriguez.
It all begins at 6:00 p.m. with a red-carpet reception. Your
seats include hors d’oeuvres, a five-hour open bar, dinner,
an award ceremony, and a moving video presentation. The
evening will also feature live and silent auctions with
one-of-a-kind items and experiences.
This event unites
celebrities, supporters of the Cristian Rivera Foundation,
and D.I.P.G. Warriors.
Among our guests are this year’s CRF incredible honorees,
including legendary NY Yankees pitcher and commentator David
Cone. He will be presented with our Heroes Award for the
work he does through his namesake foundation, providing
countless youth with life-changing opportunities. Our Vision
of Hope Award goes to world-renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. David
Langer for his groundbreaking work as chair of neurosurgery
at Lenox Hill Hospital and beyond. Mr. Daniel O’Toole is
being awarded our Philanthropic Leadership Award. A trial
lawyer at Block O’Toole & Murphy, he has made it his
priority to support organizations that specialize in
pediatric healthcare. CRF is recognizing our beloved board
member, Col. Marisol A. Chalas, with the Service and
Dedication Award for the hard work and commitment she brings
to our mission. Finally, for the continued hope her journey
brings us of finding a cure for D.I.P.G., our very own
D.I.P.G. Warrior, Lisha Ayla, is receiving the Warrior
Award.
Through table sales, auction items, program ads,
sponsorships, and donations, our 17th Annual Celebrity Gala
will raise money to support clinical trials at Memorial
Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medical
College, and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. The
foundation also provides monetary support to families
impacted by D.I.P.G. and uses funds to spread awareness
about this horrible disease.
The Cristian Rivera Foundation is one of the nation’s
largest financial supporters of D.I.P.G. research and family
support.
To date, the Cristian Rivera Foundation has donated
well over four million dollars ($4,000,000.00).
