What lies beyond the surface of a work
of art? What emotions, memories, and
unexpected discoveries emerge when we
look more closely?
These questions are at the heart of
EMERSION, an exhibition bringing
together contemporary artists Neil
Kerman, Alayna Coverly, and Gabriella
Anouk, alongside fine jewelry designer
Catherine M. Zadeh.
Presented at Zadeh Atelier on Madison
Avenue, the exhibition creates a
compelling dialogue between abstraction,
figuration, hyperrealism, and sculptural
fine jewelry. Although each artist works
in a distinctly different visual
language, his or her creations share an
ability to reveal something beyond
immediate perception.
Neil Kerman, a Brooklyn-born abstract
artist whose work has exhibited
internationally, communicates through
vibrant color, gesture, texture, and
movement. His paintings possess a
visceral energy, inviting viewers to
experience color as emotion and
abstraction as a language of its own.
Among his notable achievements was
Alzheimer's Global Initiative, a solo
exhibition at the United Nations in New
York.
Alayna Coverly explores the complexities
of human connection through figurative
painting. Her intimate portrayals reveal
tenderness, vulnerability, and the
emotional relationships that shape our
lives, inviting viewers to discover
something of themselves within each
composition.
Gabriella Anouk challenges the
boundaries between reality and
imagination through extraordinary
hyperrealism. Her meticulous attention
to detail, scale, luminosity, and
unexpected visual interventions
transform familiar subjects into
captivating works that encourage a
second look.
Catherine M. Zadeh brings a sculptural
sensibility to fine jewelry, where
craftsmanship, form, material, and light
become expressions of individuality. Her
designs extend the artistic conversation
beyond the canvas, transforming
adornment into a personal statement of
identity and presence.
For Debbie Dickinson, whose career spans
decades across the international art and
fashion worlds, the exhibition is as
much about the relationships between the
works as it is about the individual
artists.
"What fascinates me as a curator is the
unexpected harmony between these diverse
artistic expressions. Together, they
invite us to experience art beyond its
immediate visual beauty and discover the
emotion, imagination, and personal
narratives that give each work its
enduring significance."
— Debbie Dickinson
At its essence, EMERSION celebrates
energy through color, emotion through
the human figure, imagination through
altered reality, and identity through
adornment.
For collectors, the exhibition offers an
opportunity to discover distinctive
artistic perspectives and connect with
works that resonate on a deeply personal
level.
More than an exhibition, EMERSION is an
invitation to experience seeing as an
act of discovery.
