PALM BEACH, FL – The 2009
Painting For A Purpose Celebrity Art Show,
which features artistic works from a
star-studded list of sports and entertainment
personalities, will be held November 14 at 7
p.m. at a spectacular $8 million estate built by
Purucker & Marrano Custom Homes in the exclusive
Old Palm Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens,
Florida.
The unique event will benefit
Children’s Healthcare Charity, the Honda
Classic’s host foundation, which supports a
variety of children’s charities in the South
Florida area. Children’s Healthcare Charity was
established in 2006 as the host foundation for
The Honda Classic PGA TOUR Event. Net proceeds
from the Honda Classic benefit the Nicklaus
Children’s Health Care Foundation and other
charitable organizations. Contributions focus
on enhancing children’s health, growth and well
being through medical, educational and social
programs.
The participating celebrities
represent all facets of entertainment, including
television, film, music and sports. Their art
pieces, created specifically for this event,
will be auctioned off through a silent auction.
Singers Celine Dion, Fergie, Jimmy Buffet and
Michael Bolton, Saxophone artist Kenny G,
Baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Bench, Football
greats Dan Marino and Marcus Allen, golf legends
Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Gary Player, PGA
TOUR stars Luke Donald, Ernie Els and Robert
Allenby, and other celebrities such as Donald
Trump have been invited to contribute artwork.
In addition in to the Art Show,
Braman Motorcars (located at 2901 Okeechobee
Boulevard in West Palm Beach) will be hosting a
preview of select paintings free-of-charge to
the public during normal business hours
beginning on Monday, November 9 and continuing
through November 13.
Local media personalities Mo &
Sally from Kool 105.5 Radio and Jay Cashmere of
WPTV will serve as the emcees for the event and
will be promoting the event on-air. Sponsors of
