Tuesday, June 2 has just taken on special
meaning, it was announced today. And
Caroline Kennedy is going to be part of it.
That evening, Gen-X and Gen-Y fast trackers,
members of Society and Ms. Kennedy will join
up-and-coming headliners from the worlds of
publishing, fashion, design and media, at
Tenjune, the hot club
in the Meat
Packing District.
The occasion: Literacy Associates First
Annual Benefit
The under-50 supporters of Literacy Partners, New York's only
accredited adult literacy organization,
created the Literacy Associates Committee to
raise awareness of adult illiteracy among a
younger demographic.
To tee up the event, Literacy Associates has
organized a special online auction at

beginning May 25th. Supporters
will have the opportunity to bid on exciting
items like a one-week Jamaican vacation, a
behind-the-scenes VIP tour of

Show and the opportunity to name
a character in the next installment of

Ride. If bidding on the
Maximum
Ride lot goes over $10,000,
Patterson will also dedicate the book to the
lucky winner.
