Holiday Fundraiser & Auction

The annual
gala, held at Plazzo Serena in North Palm
Beach on Saturday December 5th,
2009 from 7:30pm – 4:00am, features a
gourmet dinner buffet, open bars, oxygen
bar, DJ, dancing, extravagant silent and
live auctions, and breakfast! Tickets are
$550 each.

About the Foundation:
The Be A Star Foundation, a
501 (C)(3) charity, began when Richard and
Julie Healey’s 4 ˝ year old daughter Daisy
was diagnosed with Leukemia. After seeing
firsthand how this devastated other families
in the same situation, The Healey’s turned
their annual holiday party into a
fundraiser. The Be A Star Foundation
voluntarily funds the Pediatric Oncology
Support Team (P.O.S.T.) and the Nicklaus
Children’s Healthcare Foundation. P.O.S.T.,
through the Child Life Institute, offers
several programs that provide direct
emotional support and treatment for children
devastated by critical illnesses like cancer
and sickle cell, as well as financial
support for those children and their
families.
