Center for the Aging's 30th
Annual Dinner Dance & Awards Ceremony,
"Heroes for Hard Times: Strength and
Resilience," will be held at
Guastavino's,
409 East 59th Street,
beginning with a cocktail reception at
7:00 p.m. followed by dinner, dancing
and the awards ceremony. The evening
will honor:
Roger
Altman, Founder & Chairman of
Evercore Partners, with the Humanitarian
Award for Philanthropy;
Lilliam
Barrios-Paoli, Commissioner
of the NYC Department for the Aging,
with the Humanitarian Award for
Government;
David
Pomeranz, Associate Executive
Director of the Hebrew Home at
Riverdale, with the Humanitarian Award
for Collaboration;
Regis
High School with the
Humanitarian Award for Volunteerism;
Sally
Bott, Member of The Carter
Burden Center's Board of Directors &
Group Human Resources Director at BP,
with the Humanitarian Award for the
Board of Directors, and
William
J. Dionne, Executive Director
of The Carter Burden Center for the
Aging, with the Humanitarian Award for
Staff. The six honorees represent the
various elements that are critical to
helping The Carter Burden Center
continue to grow, develop and thrive.

Proceeds will enable The Carter Burden
Center to continue to support the
efforts of older people to live
independently, safely and with
dignity. Benefit tables range from
