Evening Celebrating 50th Anniversary of
Wright’s Most Iconic
Building

The
Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation
will host a benefit dinner at the
Solomon
R. Guggenheim Museum on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from
7:00PM – 10:00PM to honor Wright’s
revolutionary design of the museum.
Prolific 60 Minutes anchor Mike Wallace
will chair the evening’s celebrations along
with co-chairs Fred P. Stratton, Jr. and
Howard J. Weiner, M.D. The event will
include a special tribute to those who have
preserved Frank Lloyd’s Wright’s guiding
principles, passionate spirit and innovative
vision. The benefit dinner will also
coincide with the “Frank Lloyd Wright: From
Within Outward” exhibition on view at the
Guggenheim from May 15, 2009 to August 23,
2009.
The evening will honor several notable
individuals including Peter B. Lewis, former
chairman of the Guggenheim Museum; Bruce
Brooks Pfeiffer, director of the Frank Lloyd
Wright Archives and curator of the
exhibition; and Mark Keane, professor and
director of the Frank Lloyd Wright
Initiative for the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture.
Proceeds from the benefit dinner will
support the educational offerings and
general operations of the Frank Lloyd Wright
Foundation.
