of the Sexauer Foundation
presented Big Brothers Big Sisters with a $10,000 Presenting
Sponsor check for the
30th Annual Gourmet Dinner. The Dinner will be held on Friday,
May 15, 2009
at 6:00pm at the Beach Club, on Palm Beach Island
(775 North County Road, Palm Beach).
Money raised at the Gourmet Dinner is used to fund the
following programs
in Palm Beach County:
i
Traditional Programs – Adults mentoring children
throug
h one-on-one relationships.
i
Bigs
at School Sites – Adults in surrounding areas
mentor students in a school,
one day a week, during the
academic year. Children are referred by guidance
professionals and teachers.
i
Parenting Partners – Volunteers mentor teen
mothers in Palm Beach County.
i
MCOP
– Adults mentoring children of prisoners through
one-on-one relationships.
i
LINKING LIFETIMES – Seniors mentoring
children through one-on-one relationships utilizing the
elder’s life experiences.
Big
Brothers Big Sisters’ focus has always been to guide
children in a
positive direction through mentoring. In Palm Beach County,
the
organization serves more than 1,000 children.
The Gourmet
Dinner will include dinner, live music, silent and live
auction,
and complimentary valet service. Sponsorship opportunities are available
and tickets for $225 per person. Seating is limited to 125
guests.
