Lighthouse ArtCenter Names Cathy Helowicz
as Chairperson of D’Art for Art Fundraiser
Tequesta, FL – The 4th annual “D’Art for Art”
fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2010 from
6pm-10pm at the Lighthouse Art Center, 373 Tequesta Drive in
Tequesta (Gallery Square North).
“This is sure to be the best party of the season!” exclaimed
Lighthouse executive director Katie Deits. “After
‘D’Art-inis’ and a fabulous designer dinner, guests dash and
dart for their favorite chosen art,” she added, “and
everyone is guaranteed the ultimate party favor — an
original piece of art to take home and add to a personal
collection.”
The Lighthouse ArtCenter is a not-for-profit organization
which provides a bridge to the visual and performing arts
for the community through unique collections, engaging
exhibitions and cultural programs, a dynamic School of Art
and diverse outreach activities.

About Cathy Helowicz
Cathy grew up near Annapolis, Maryland, with a passion for
writing. After international studies and work in computer
science, she finally got the chance to pursue her lifelong
dream to be an author. Cathy is writing full-time, and
along with enjoying her love of the arts, believes in giving
back to her community. She has volunteered with Therapeutic
Riding Centers in both Annapolis and Jupiter, helping
physically challenged children. She currently serves on the
board for the MdDS Balance Disorder Foundation, in addition
to serving on several committees for the Lighthouse
ArtCenter. She resides in Jupiter with her seven-year-old
Golden Retriever, Rudy, who just recently won the position
of Vice Dog Mayor of Jupiter Beach.
