FOX 5's Ernie Anastos to Host Auction that
Helps Feed, Clothe and Counsel Poor Families
On
Thursday,
November 4, 2010 at
6:00 p.m.,
colorful and original signed works of art
created by actors, artists, politicians and
sports icons will be auctioned off at 'Doodle
For Hunger® XI,' the
annual charity auction that raises money to
support the
St. Francis
Food Pantries and Shelters which
feed and shelter more than 7,000
underprivileged families in New York each
week. The special event, hosted by Fox 5's
Ernie
Anastos, will
include a cocktail party, Doodle
preview, silent and live auctions led by
acting great
Tony Lo Bianco. The event will
take place at Pier Sixty Chelsea Piers.
Doodle For
Hunger 2010
will honor sports broadcaster
Warner
Wolf, for his steadfast support
of the
St. Francis Food
Pantries and Shelters.
Mort
Künstler, the
premier historical artist in America,
will be presented the
'Artist of the Year Award.'
Doodles by Betty White,
Courtney Cox, Yoko Ono, Donald Trump, Sarah
Palin, Richard Gere, Jorge Posada, Barbra
Streisand, Jeff Bridges, John Travolta, and
hundreds of others will be up for bid.
St. Francis Food Pantries &
Shelters was established to alleviate the
physical and emotional hunger of the poor
and needy in a dignified and supportive
manner. The St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters provide a
broad range of services for those in need,
including the provision of food, clothing,
shelter, and related social services for the
poor.
