WHAT:
On Tuesday, November 16th, French Heritage Society
will celebrate its 3rd annual black-tie Gala
Dinner Dance honoring
Chef Ariane Daguin at the Metropolitan Club, 1
East 60th Street.
The evening will celebrate Ms. Daguin’s native region of
Gascony, France including its delicious cuisine, wines and
the legendary digestif Armagnac. The Gala will feature
dancing to the music of
The Bob Hardwick Sound, and a silent auction to
support FHS’ educational internship programs. Gala Chairmen
are CeCe Black, Margo Langenberg and Jean
Shafiroff. Tickets are $750-$1,250 each and tables are
$7,500-$15,000.

WHY:
The Gala’s Gascon flavor
comes in anticipation of FHS’ 30th Anniversary, which
will include a cultural and culinary trip through Gascony
culminating in a spectacular Gala Dinner & Ball and
fireworks finale at the legendary Château de
Fontainebleau on October 13, 2012. For more information

French
Heritage Society raises funds in the U.S. and France to
protect the French architectural legacy in both countries.
With emphasis on preservation and education, the Society
fosters long-established French-American relationships
through cultural exchanges. Since its founding in 1982, the
Society has grown to 13 Chapters across the United States
and one in Paris. It has contributed to over 460
restoration grants and provided more than 18 million
dollars, including matching funds, to projects in virtually
every department in France and to properties in the United
States which reflect France’s historic influence. FHS also
organizes trans-Atlantic student internship opportunities
and offers enriching cultural trips in France and the U.S.
for its members.
