The American Heart Association’s Healing Heart 5K
Run, sponsored by East End Cardiology and Hudson
City Savings Bank, will be held on the property of
the beautiful Martha Clara Vineyards in the heart of
the Long Island wine country in Mattituck.
Day of event registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with
the 3.1 mile off road race beginning at 10 a.m..
Following the race, the awards ceremony will take
place at 11:30 a.m. with awards being given to the
top male and female runners along with the top
runners in various age categories. The awards
ceremony will be followed by music from the
Contractors Band. A health expo will also be
available during the event open to all
participants.
The Healing Heart 5K hopes to raise awareness that
heart disease is the number one killer of men and
women across the country and here on Long Island.
