Links hosts a gala
Sunday, December 12th at Capitale, 130 Bowery
Street
from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The evening marks
the organization’s
10th gala and honors Geoffrey Canada, president
and chief executive officer of
Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ), a community-based organization
serving
over 17,000 children living in a 100-city-block area in
Harlem, New York City. Governor and Mrs. David A. Paterson
will also receive special recognition for their continued
support of Metro-Manhattan Links Harlem-based programs.
Award-winning CBS 2 News anchor Maurice Dubois will serve as
master of ceremonies for the gala which celebrates high
achieving education in
Harlem and includes cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and
MUCH dancing
to the sounds of The Package.

substantially impact the quality of life for children and
