The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD)
is proud to host
the 33rd
Annual Benefit Dinner on Wednesday, April 28, 2010
starting at 6:30pm at the Tribeca
Rooftop, 2 Desbrosses Street,
New York City.
The evening honors
Charles Walgreen III,
Former CEO of Walgreens, who will be presented with
the Spirit of Achievement Award by
Mayor Michael
R. Bloomberg. James
Carville, the American political
consultant, will be presented with the Distinguished
Advocacy Award.
The evening's emcee is TV Newscaster
Paula Zahn.
The Benefit Chair is
Nancy Poses,
and the Dinner Chair is
Wade Miquelon,
EVP, CFO,
Walgreens. Anne
Ford, Chairman Emerita, will present
$10,000
scholarships two high school seniors, identified
with a learning disability
and who will pursue undergraduate degrees. NCLD
works to ensure the
nation's 15 million children, adolescents and adults
with learning disabilities
have every opportunity to succeed in school, work
and life. NCLD provides
essential information to parents, professionals and
individuals with learning disabilities, promotes
research and programs to foster effective learning,
and advocates for policies to protect and strengthen
educational rights.
