On Sunday, March 14, 2010, the
Greater Boca Raton Unit of the Papanicolaou Corps for Cancer Research will hit
the links
for their annual
“Drive for the Cure.”
The event will be played at the Polo Club of Boca Raton.
The fun-filled day, which is open to all,
begins at 11:00 with brunch before a 12:30 shotgun. Then, after the tournament,
it’s time to relax with cocktails and a silent auction before the awards
ceremony, dinner and live auction. The evening culminates with the raffle
drawing of the 2010 red convertible Mustang. For those lucky enough to hit a
Hole-In-One, there will be a Club Car
or a Mercedes to claim.
There are nine-and eighteen-hole
formats and participants who are looking for a game will be paired. The goal of
this event is to raise funds to support important cancer research projects that
are currently being conducted at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Research
Center of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The Pap Corps is one of the
largest grassroots fundraising organizations in the United States with 20,000
dedicated volunteers in 50 south Florida units, with no paid or professional
fund raisers. What better way to have a wonderful day and do your part to help
the Corps work to “Find the Cure?”
