Palm Beach, Fla. –
The American Heart Association is pleased to announce its
2012 Northern Palm Beaches Heart Ball February 11 from 7
p.m. to midnight at The Club at Admiral's Cove. This
memorable black-tie affair celebrates the American Heart
Association’s global achievements while helping to raise
critical dollars to support both national and local research
initiatives, including projects at Scripps, FAU and
University of Miami.
This elegant evening typically welcomes over 300 guests
annually and features a cocktail reception followed by a
gourmet dinner, live auction, and dancing into the night.
Sponsors of the 2012 Heart Ball include: Braman BMW, Florida
Power & Light, Jupiter Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens
Medical Center, Rogers Design Group, Marc and Deborah Jaffe
and Walgreens.
Jeffrey Berman, Vice President of Berman Enterprises serves
as Chairman. His company coordinates leasing and tenant
relations for Downtown at the Gardens as well as special
projects throughout the country.
“It is a true honor to support the American Heart
Association by helping to raise funds that provide the vital
support needed for continued education and research,” said
Berman. “I encourage my peers to join and support this
amazing and important cause in any way they can.”
Fittingly, the Heart Ball takes place in “American Heart
Month”. Each February, corporations and individual
supporters at both the local and national levels showcase
their support for heart disease and stroke awareness as it
relates to men and women by lighting monuments red,
decorating offices red and dressing in red apparel. The
Heart Ball and its educational initiatives are designed to
empower guests and fellow community members to keep close
tabs on their hearth health and to recognize that heart
disease is the No. 1 killer of both men and women. In fact,
while heart disease is largely perceived as a “man’s
disease,” it affects one in every three women and among
birth defects, cardiovascular issues are among the most
commonly seen problems.
Additionally, the American Heart Association will offer
several year-round pre and post Heart Ball events with an
interactive and educational component designed to stir up
community engagement and excitement.
Tickets for Northern
Palm Beaches Heart Ball begin at $350 and sponsorship
opportunities begin at $1,500. To participate, or for more
information, please call Sara Mariani at (561) 697-6603 or
email her at

Last year, the Heart Ball campaign raised just over $51
million nationwide, which allowed the Association to fund
over $123 million of research and programs to fight heart
disease and stroke. The Association strives to improve the
cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while
reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20
percent by 2020. The American Heart Association has invested
$3.2 billion in research since 1949 including twelve Nobel
Prize winners.
