What: |
A special evening of
cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music at the Central
Park Zoo. Guests will be treated to a private seal
demonstration, have the chance to explore the
Rainforest Exhibit, and chill out in Penguin House.
The evening offers a unique opportunity to socialize
and network in one of New York City’s most charming
landmark venues. The Zoo’s exhibits are surrounded
by the picturesque Manhattan skyline and the trails
of New York’s most famous park.

Proceeds from the event benefit The
Skin Cancer Foundation and its research, prevention,
and education programs.
Since its founding in 1979, the
Foundation has set the standard for educating the
public and the medical profession about skin cancer,
its prevention by means of sun protection, and the
need for early detection and prompt, effective
treatment.

Why:
|
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the
United States. Each year, there are more than 3.5
million new cases of skin cancer, more than the
combined incidence of cancers of the breast,
prostate, lung and colon. Almost 12,000 people die
from skin cancer in the United States every year.
