in Paris”
The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival presents the Wm.
Brian Little Concert on Friday evening, August 12th which
begins at 6 p.m. with wine and appetizers at the Channing
Sculpture Garden, 1927 Scuttle Hole Road. Bridgehampton, NY.
This concert is entitled “Gypsy Traveler.” The program will
begin with Festival musicians performing traditional
composers’ take on gypsy music, and they will then be joined
by acclaimed jazz fusion guitarist Stephane Wrembel and his
band to perform his own gypsy-inspired works along with
those of French jazz legend Django Reinhardt. Guests set to
attend include Roger Waters, Arlene and Alan Alda , Tom
Wolfe, Mary Rodgers and Hank Guettel, Fred Krimendahl and
Emilia Saint-Amand, Judy Francis Zankel, Annaliese Soros,
Joyce Menschel, Sandy and Ed Meyer, Connie Steensma and Rick
Prins, Jim and Ellen Marcus, Peter and Peg D’Angelo, Barbara
and Keith Gollust, Katheryn Patterson and Tom Kempner, Judy
and Irving Shafran, Magda and Edward Bleier. Tickets are

music festivals in the nation, the adventurous Bridgehampton
Chamber Music Festival once again draws a brilliant lineup
of musicians to participate in its 28th season, slated to
take place from Thursday, July 28th through Sunday, August
21st, 2011. Festival founder and Artistic Director flutist
Marya Martin, violinist Ani Kavafian, violist Misha Amory,
cellist Fred Sherry, clarinetist Anthony McGill; jazz-fusion
guitarist Stephane Wrembel, and string quartet Brooklyn
Rider are among the stellar roster of artists performing
this year. Others include the current and former members of
the Borromeo, Mendelssohn, and Parker quartets, the Chamber
Music Society of Lincoln Center and the International
Contemporary Ensemble;
as well as principal players of the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles
Philharmonic, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra,
and other major orchestras.
