Sunday, March 6, 2011, Chef
Daniel Boulud continues his more than
decade-long support of
Citymeals-on-Wheels as he hosts “Burgundy, Bordeaux, Black Truffles & Blue Jeans,” his
annual Sunday supper in the charity’s honor. Joining him as
co-hosts this year are Betsy Bernardaud, Executive Vice
President, Bernardaud and Frédéric Engerer, renowned
winemaker and Director of Château Latour and Domaine
d’Eugénie.
150 privileged guests
will savor the rare opportunity to kick back in their blue
jeans at DANIEL, one of New York’s most elegant dining destinations,
as the Chef serves up a splendid late winter menu
celebrating black truffles. The sumptuous four course seated
dinner will be prepared by Daniel Boulud along with special
guest, Michelin Three Star Chef Gérald Passédat of Le Petit
Nice in Marseille, France. The dinner will be paired with
fine Burgundy and Bordeaux vintages chosen by our Wine Chair,
Daniel Johnnes. The evening will also include a reception
featuring Champagne Paul Goerg and connoisseurs’ silent and
live auctions .
Attire is “Sunday Casual Chic”
with blue jeans encouraged. Robert S. Grimes will serve as
Co-Chair.
Individual seats
for “Burgundy, Bordeaux, Black Truffles & Blue Jeans” are
$1,000 per person. “Gourmand” tables
for ten guests are $25,000 per table
and will include prestige wine pairings.

100% of ticket and auction proceeds will
support Citymeals and their preparation and delivery of
nutritious meals to homebound elderly New Yorkers.
The Silent Auction
will include rare and large format wines assembled by the
sommeliers from Chef Daniel Boulud’s five New York City restaurants.
The Live Auction will feature the ultimate in gourmet
