3.7 million New York City adults cannot read beyond the 5th grade level.
Literacy Partners, New York's only accredited adult literacy
program, is hosting a luncheon to help battle adult
illiteracy. This June, the four-part Food for Thought series
concludes with a presentation by Erica Jong, author of 22
books including the groundbreaking novel Fear of Flying and
her new anthology, Sugar In My Bowl. Each year, Literacy
Partners helps approximately 2,000 adult New Yorkers and
their families by providing free, quality education. Please

midtown's famed Le Cirque.
