The Fortune Society,
one of the nation's most respected nonprofit organizations
offering services to formerly incarcerated men and women,
will present the David
Rothenberg Achievement Award to leading American
business entrepreneur
Russell Simmons. Mr. Simmons has long been known
as a peaceful and effective activist for reform of criminal
justice abuses, seen most dramatically in his leadership of
the movement to reform New York Rockefeller Drug Laws.
Fortune will also present the
Corporate Leaders for Change
Award to
Capital One Bank during its 2011 Annual Benefit.
Hundreds of Fortune Society supporters will attend the
benefit on
Monday, November 7th
from 6pm-9pm at the

Manhattan.
Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by
the awards presentations and a showing of

The Castle that
played for 14 months at the New World Stages. Like its
predecessor, The Castle
II will be performed by four formerly
incarcerated individuals who became residents of The Fortune
