South Palm Beach County’s young Jewish adults in
professions and business will be on the move and
making new connections again. All are invited to
the Metro Business Networking Series Event on
Thursday, March 10th, at 6:00 pm to enjoy
cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with great company,
make new contacts and connect with the Jewish
community. They’ll gather at the beautiful
Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center
at 7091 West Atlantic Avenue, west of Delray
Beach.
“This is an event you do not want to miss,” said
Dan Levine, Metro Business Vice Chair. “It is an
elite networking opportunity, and the first time
we are holding an event at the brand new Weisman
Delray Community Center. So, in addition to the
great opportunity to expand your business, you
can see first-hand how our Federation is helping
in the community.”
Architecturally elegant, the Delray Center is a
vibrant hub of senior cultural, social and
recreational programs, a kosher food pantry,
individual and group counseling, volunteer
opportunities and much more. It is a project of
Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service (JFS), a
beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of
South Palm Beach County.
“The Delray Center is an example of JFS and the
Federation identifying a need in the community
and filling it,” said Laurence I. Blair, JFS
Chair and active Metro participant. “The senior
center has over 100 volunteers and has
immediately become a focal point for critically
needed senior programs and services in the
Delray area. Identifying business partners is
essential to helping keep the center a thriving
vital resource for the community.
Newcomers are most welcome at the Networking
Event, and no minimum gift is required to
attend. Dietary laws will be observed. The
couvert is only $10 for Tikkun Olam Society
donors and above, or $25 for non-donors or those
giving less than $365 to the 2011 UJA/Jewish
Federation of South Palm Beach County Annual
Campaign.
