39th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BALL
WHAT: Peggy
Adams Animal Rescue League will hold its 39th
Annual Christmas Ball at the Sailfish Club, Palm Beach, on
Thursday, Dec. 8. A perennial favorite of Palm Beach pet
lovers, the elegant holiday event raises money for lost,
stray, unwanted and medically impaired dogs and cats. The
2011 event chairwomen are Lesly Smith and Virginia Burke.
Jerry Seay is the chair for the inaugural men’s committee.
Operating since 1925,
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is a limited-access humane
society that provides services to more than 10,000 cats and
dogs each year. The organization operates an adoption
program; shelter; low-cost vaccine, spay and neuter clinic;
PetMobile; and other pet services in order to protect and
find quality homes for neglected animals in Palm Beach
County. Peggy Adams also assists with the national rescue of
pets from disaster areas around the United States.
