The World Youth Peace Summit, an initiative
of the Institute for International Sport a
non profit organization will be held this
summer.

July 1 4, 2011

Hartford, Connecticut, USA
The World Youth Peace Summit which includes
the World Scholar-Athlete Games participants
will commemorate the Institute for
International Sports 25th
anniversary. The Summit brings these
participants back together to take their
role as community leaders to the next level
that of effective peace advocates.
Approximately 25,000 past
participants of Scholar-Athlete Games and
delegates nominated by the United Nations
and other distinguished organizations will
join the current scholar-athletes and
scholar-artists to explore their own
Pathways to Peace initiatives during an
intensive academic program, which will be
accompanied by cultural and athletic
activities.

Senior Member of the Nobel Prize Family
Dan Doyle and his team are on a historic
mission to world peace. This is one of the
most compelling peace initiatives I have
seen in years.

How You Can Get Involved

Host A Peace Walk
On May 21 & 22, 2011 the Peace Walks
program will take place throughout the
United States and in countries
throughout the world. Thousands of
individuals will organize walks ranging
in size from small groups of friends to
large community wide events. This
program aims to stimulate discussions on
the peace process, to generate
significant interest in the World
Scholar-Athlete Games and World Youth
Peace Summit and to raise funds for
these programs. If you are interested in

Host A Peace Lecture
One of the most important components of
the World Youth Peace Summit is the
Peace Lecture program. This will involve
a significant number of peace lectures
delivered to audiences large and small
both in Connecticut and in other cities
throughout the world.

sport or education quite like this
