to Bring Together
Local Chefs, Urban Farmers,
Notable Hosts,

On
Tuesday July 24, 14
fundraising dinners will take place concurrently at private
homes throughout the city. The fundraising initiative,
entitled " A
City Farmer,

opportunity to spend an up-close evening with one prominent
city chef, one urban farmer, and one notable co-host.
Each of the
intimate gatherings will seat 12 to 25 guests, and will be
prepared by a New York City chef, using produce from a farm
within the five boroughs. The full list of participating
chefs, farms, hosts and celebrity guests can be seen below,

"Just Food and
The Sylvia Center share the belief that all New Yorkers
should have access to farm-fresh, healthy food every day,
and that's the beauty of this event," said Just Food
Executive Director Jacquie Berger. "Guests will be
supporting Just Food and The Sylvia Center's efforts
to increase access to locally-grown food and impart basic
but vital cooking skills to underserved communities."
"The Sylvia
Center teaches young people about cooking and eating fresh,
healthy food," explained Executive Director Anna Hammond.
"The dinners on July 24 are a perfect opportunity for guests
to join together in celebrating the bounty of the growing
season, and the extraordinary people who make it possible
while supporting the work of Just Food and The Sylvia
Center."
