Party Benefits Exhibition Programming for MoMA
and MoMA PS1
WHAT:
The Museum of Modern Art is hosting The Armory Party, a
benefit event with a DJ and live music celebrating the
opening of The Armory Show. The evening reception, along
with the daytime Early Access Preview at the show piers 92
and 94, benefits the exhibition programming for The Museum
of Modern Art and MoMA PS1. Additional support for The
Armory Party is provided by Waterford
and VICE.
This year's party includes a live performance by the
acclaimed band Neon Indian under an installation of
Waterford Crystal chandeliers. The brainchild of Alan Palomo,
Neon Indian has released two critically lauded albums,
Psychic Chasms (2009) and Era Extraña (2011). Having
received praise in Rolling Stone, SPIN, and Pitchfork, Neon
Indian has also performed at festivals including South by
Southwest, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch, along with opening slots
