One of the programs funded by this event is the IES Brain
Research Foundation Student Summer Fellowship Program. The
idea is to attract extremely bright, motivated students to
the field of neuroscience to add to the work of the senior
scientists towards effective treatments and cures. Since
2005, 39 summer fellowships have been awarded. The most
exciting result so far, is that from one student fellow and
senior scientist, a treatment for glioblastoma (deadly brain
cancer) is in clinical trial. You can learn about the many
areas the student fellows have been and are working on by
going to
www.iesBrainResearch.org and read about their
amazing summer experiences. Two of the fellows worked with
Nobel Prize winners, one worked with a world award winner in
Alzheimer’s disease, others with heads of departments at
prestigious medical centers and universities. The deadline
for 2012 summer fellowship application is March 20th.
Join us in our mission for Brain Health in any way you
can!!!! Support this recognized 501(C) 3 totally volunteer
