Proceeds From The Fifth Annual Gala Will Support
Preservation, Cultural And
Education Projects At Green-Wood Cemetery

Nicholas Quennell,
award-winning landscape architect and founding
partner of the world-renowned firm of Quennell Rothschild &
Partners, will be honored with the
DeWitt Clinton Award for
Excellence presented by
The Green-Wood Historic Fund
at its fifth annual benefit.
Proceeds will
support Green-Wood’s impressive array of
preservation, cultural and education projects.
The fundraiser will take place at Brooklyn’s Historic Green-Wood Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark.
Honored for his lifelong
commitment to historic preservation, Quennell’s impressive
resume includes the landscape plans for the Tisch Children’s
Zoo in Central Park; restoration plans for Central Park,
Morningside Park, Prospect Park
and Fort Tryon Park;
and the restoration plan for the Battery. His firm's
work at Green-Wood, Tranquility Garden, Locust Grove and Sylvan Water,
honors Green-Wood's origins in the historic rural cemetery
movement. The benefit will feature cocktails, hors
d’oeuvres, a seated dinner,
and
an award presentation.
