“Honoring the Hero in All of Us”
An evening of Fine Food, Fun and Celebration at Ruth’s Chris
in Boca Raton

RATON, Fla. — The Red Cross Palm Beaches-Treasure
Coast Region is hosting its “2nd Annual Honoring
the Hero in All of Us” event at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on
March 22, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Boca Raton.
The evening promises a delicious assortment of Ruth’s Chris
cuisine, a cocktail reception, plus silent and live auctions
to raise donations as part of the nationwide American Red
Cross “HEROES” campaign. This year’s local gathering is
chaired by Pam & Mark Begelman, and Sally & Bob Painter who
head the region’s South County event planning committee.
The “HEROES
for the Red Cross” fundraising drive is a fast-paced,
nationwide, grassroots movement, designed to challenge
everyone to become involved in the life-changing,
humanitarian work of the Red Cross. Individuals or teams,
including businesses, strive to achieve HERO status by
collecting donations throughout their communities. Teams are
encouraged to be creative in their approaches by hosting
their own events like car washes, bake sales, or offering
incentives to employees like dress-down days in the
workplace.
