Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation (CPIRF)
will honor one of its longest standing and most passionate
supporters, the respected former Chairman of the Federal
Reserve Paul A. Volcker, Chairman of the Board, CPIRF on
Thursday, September 27 at The Pierre in New York City.
Hundreds of guests are expected for the elegant event which
will honor Volcker, the former Chairman of the Federal
Reserve under Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan
(1979-1987) and Chairman of the Economic Recovery Advisory
Board under President Barack Obama (2009-2011). Volcker,
whose son James was born with CP, has been a driving force
behind research to improve the lives of those with CP and
related developmental disabilities. Hosting the evening’s
activities will be the prominent financial journalist Ron
Insana, CNBC and MSNBC contributor and Host of the Market
Scoreboard Reports on radio stations around the country.
Among the many VIPs expected to attend are: Dinner Co-Chairs
Ray Dalio, Founder, President & CIO, Bridgewater Associates,
LP, Eugene A. Ludwig, Founder & CEO, Promontory Financial
Group, LLC and Robert Wolf, Founder & CEO, 32 Advisors, LLC.
Comedian Josh Blue, winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing who
also lives with CP, will give a special performance that
evening.
Proceeds from the event will support the Cerebral Palsy
International Research Foundation, a not for profit 501(c)3
organization dedicated to funding research and educational
activities directly relevant to discovering scientific,
clinical and practical innovations that improve the lives of
those with cerebral palsy and related developmental
disabilities.
Founded in 1955, CPIRF has contributed more than $40 million
for research grants to support approximately 500 research
projects in the biomedical and clinical sciences and in
bioengineering. The Foundation has provided guidance, funds
and other resources to research programs in the United
States, the Middle East, Canada, the UK, Australia and
Greece as part of its global commitment to research and

The Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation Benefit
“Hope Through Research” will take place Thursday, September
